Continuing Education Information
Guidelines
Participation: To qualify for CE/CME credit you must be registered in the workshop, have paid all fees in full, attended the sessions that provide CE or CME credit that you wish to attend, and fully and actively participated in the program. You must pre-register for CE/CME credit; please be sure to include all related fees when you register.
Fees: There is a $30 fee for CE/CME credit, unless stated otherwise in the course description. There will be an additional $25 fee for certificates that need to be reissued.
Procedures: To receive CME or CE Credit accreditation you must sign in and out daily at your workshop.
Nurses, be sure and pick up your registration packet at the registration desk and follow all instructions in it to get your contact hours.
At close of conference / day turn, all sign in and sing out forms, plus nurse session codes on one of your carbon copies, will be returned to the registration desk. Failure to submit all paperwork & fees at the conclusion of the day, or workshop will disqualify you from receiving your CE/CEU/CME credit.
Certificate of Attendance: There is a $30 fee for a Certificate of Attendance for a workshop that you have attended, unless stated otherwise in the course description. In six to eight weeks, you will receive a Certificate of Attendance. There will be an additional $25 fee for certificates that need to be reissued.

Continuing Medical Education
This activity may be used as self-directed learning to apply toward your Category 2 requirement for re-licensure. Complete the General Certificate of Completion retain the white copy for your records and return the YELLOW copy to the registration desk. Also retain the RED objectives and Disclosure sheets since they provide information for each session.
Nursing Continuing Education
Nursing contact hours will be awarded and are calculated on a 60-minute contact hour. Total hours obtained are determined by the number of sessions a participant attends.
University Hospitals (OH-003/05-01-2011), is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Ohio Nurses Association (OBN-001-91), an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Social Work Continuing Education
- Social workers must sign a social work attendance form for each session they attend that issues a SW CEU. Attendance forms will be located in the conference room.
- Throughout the day, social workers will complete the Social Work Continuing Education Credit Form which they'll keep for their records.
- At the end of each day, Social Workers must show the completed Social Work Continuing Education Credit Form at the Registration Desk to be given a CEU certificate for the day. The social worker keeps both the form and the CEU certificate for their records.
Teachers:
Your district superintendent or other district office personnel will decide whether your certificate of attendance from this conference qualifies you for continuing education units or professional development/in-service hours.
Go to www.autismsummit.org and print off the list of speakers and their bios and other topical information. Take this list to the person in your district who is responsible for professional development hours. Try and get this permission ahead of time.

At the end of a day or the whole conference, see Pat, and take a signed certificate and conference documents with you and bring them back to your district to request the number of hours on your certificate.
NOTE: If you want academic, continuing education units for this seminar, between 1/4 unit and 4.5 quarter units (which is the same as three semester units), please see Pat Wyman at the registration or CEU table at the beginning and end of each day.
You will need to pay an additional fee to the university and possibly do an additional project depending on the number of academic, continuing education units you want.

Occupational Therapy
Forms are available at the registration desk for individual application to the Ohio OTPTAT Board.
All Others:

Psychologists: Status to be determined, visit CEU or registration table
For professions not covered, such as Music Therapists, Play Therapists, Child Life or other specialists please check with your own accrediting boards to request continuing education approval. You may be eligible for a certificate of attendance and some workshops may apply to your area of specialty. Check at the front registration desk for more information.
